A pattern that became hard to ignore.
While building Fun Labs Production AB, photographer and filmmaker Kavsar Kuresh noticed that most new work arrived through people already inside his network. The relationships were valuable—but they were also setting the limits of where the business could go.
Looking beyond that circle meant scattered job listings, lengthy sign-up processes, or intermediaries controlling the introduction and adding layers of cost and administration. Even after finding the right person, the contract could begin as a verbal promise, a message thread, or more paperwork than the project deserved.
The industry did not need another gatekeeper. It needed a simpler way for people to find each other, speak directly, and make the contract clear.
From a conversation between roommates to Apparat.

The question
Kavsar brought the problem to his roommate, Erfan Ezizi. Erfan knew little about the industry and was sceptical at first. But the question stayed with them: why was such an obvious connection still so difficult to make?

Together with their friend Bahadir M. Janbaz, the team began developing Apparat: one place for discovery, conversation, and contracting without an agency standing between people.

We are preparing the Sweden-first MVP for clients and creators in photography and film. Apparat will be free during its initial launch period.

Bahadir M. Janbaz
Bahadir is pursuing a master's in theoretical physics at KTH after earning a bachelor's in biomedicine from Karolinska Institutet. His background includes KTH technology associations and human-rights projects, and he currently serves as treasurer of Unga Uigurer.

Erfan Ezizi
Erfan is a full-stack software engineer with experience building SaaS products, automation systems, and internal business tools at STM Service AB and Coly Technologies AB. He focuses on system architecture and end-to-end technical ownership, studied software engineering at Xinjiang University, and serves on the board of Unga Uigurer.
